Samuel is a college graduate pursuing a Master’s of Political
Science and Global Politics at San Diego State University,
specializing in international law and conflict. He is passionate about
domestic criminal justice policy reform and the laws and norms of
international armed combat. Through his studies and previous roles,
Samuel has gained experience in government administration with
positions in City Clerk Offices, along with leadership roles in peer
mentorship programs in his undergraduate career.
Before joining Chairwoman Vargas in the County of San Diego, Samuel
graduated with honors in May 2023 from California State University,
Fullerton. He earned his B.A. in Political Science and B.A. in
Criminal Justice. Throughout his undergraduate experience, he
performed extensive research on topics such as international law,
minorities in criminal justice policy, civil liberties, and
state/local politics. He looks forward to working in International and
American foreign policy.
