Proclamation Request

Please read the following criteria before completing the proclamation request form below.

Chairwoman Nora Vargas, Supervisor of San Diego County’s First District, welcomes the opportunity to recognize and honor exceptional individual, groups, and events in San Diego County. Proclamations are issued by the Board of Supervisors in celebration of milestone occasions and achievements.

Proclamation requests must be made at least 4 weeks prior to the date needed.

Proclamations can be issued for the following:

  • Individual for significant contributions and service to the community
  • Organization/Group (milestone, cultural or historic occasion)
  • Honoring a good cause

The Supervisor’s office reserves the right to modify or decline any certificate request.

Please provide the exact language that you’d like to be included in the actual document, limited to six Whereas clauses of no more than 275 characters each. Note that the suggested text is subject to modification
